Tax and Statutory Reporting Accountant – Dubai (UAE nationals only)
Job description
Purpose of Role:
The Tax and Statutory Reporting Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient tax planning, reporting, and compliance for all entities of EY in the UAE.

LSTR Lead – UAE
Grade:
Senior Associate
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in UAE taxation laws, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR) in compliance with UAE tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and reporting of tax-related transactions.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and related audit schedules
- Liaising with internal and external auditors with respect to financial audits/ICV audits and coordinating with other parts of Finance and Business to provide audit requirements
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and completion of financial statement audits and ICV audits
- Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related compliance requirements.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the organization, and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Respond to tax authorities’ inquiries, notices, and audits, and assist in resolving any tax-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to tax compliance efforts.
- Review quarterly balance sheet schedules
- Monitor fixed asset register and GR/IR
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) preferred
- In-depth knowledge of UAE tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Prior experience in liaising with tax authorities and handling tax audits is a plus
