Description

You as a Senior Field Service Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role is responsible to encompasses the performance of aftermarket services and support for the installed base, as well as High Voltage Products (GIS, LTB, AIS, GCB & Power Quality) maintenance services to our utility, contractor for UAE and would involve performing preventative maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and warranty repairs on High Voltage Products, as well as performing commissioning activities. It also involves the development and implementation of proactive services responsive to customer requirements. The position also includes the coordination of investigations of customer-reported issues and assisting to achieve equitable solutions for our customers.

Your responsibilities          

  • Strong knowledge in High Voltage Products Services & Service portfolios
  • Carrying out Installation & Commissioning and Maintenance services independently.
  • Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of mainly GIS and LTB, AIS & Power Quality Solutions, and routine maintenance services, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories.
  • Ensuring that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed; specifically, he abides by the guidelines for work on live system components.
  • Supervising the adherence to the safety and industry acceptable practice.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.
  • Recommendation to customer for immediate and future service requirements, provide feedback to Service Sales team.
  • Acting as representative of the OEM during interaction with the customer and preparing the tools, equipment and parts needed for a service job and understand the scope of the job to be performed.
  • Ensuring that the documentation for the job is available and briefing with service manager, head of department or supervisor about the expected situation on site.
  • Creating service reports, time sheets & delivery note, duly signed by customer.
  • Acting as voice of customer back into internal engineering and quality functions.
  • Supporting service and delivery of site activities for High Voltage Products or Equipment’s maintenance works.
  • Effectively manages multifunctional interfaces – internal, feeder factories, service department, customers, and sub suppliers and abilities to show personal leadership & maintain a teamwork environment to deliver assignments. Strong self-disciplined approach to ensure quality and accuracy of delivery.
  • Updating installed base in IB Analyzer (the approved service database) with the changes made at site.
  • Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations, respond immediately to issues and demonstrate in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote product Life Cycle Management.
  • Responsible for adherence to the quality assurance requirements on the Power Plant or Substation or Oil & Gas or process Industries site and seeks to improve these continually.

Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering field is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience and previous experiences of 4 to 6 years in High Voltage Products or Equipment’s (GIS, LTB, AIS), Power Quality Products (PQPS) installation testing and commissioning, repair and maintenance, monitoring and measuring devices, maintenance work of High Voltage Products or Equipment’s, PQPS used in industries or utilities companies. Computer literate and excellent interpersonal written or oral communication skills.
  • At least 4 to 5 Years of relevant experiences in Sub Transmission GIS Installation and Commissioning including Substation Services and Preventive Maintenance activities’ Installation & Commissioning services is added value.
  • Team player with the ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Highly focused to meet customer service and quality standards.
  • Hitachi Energy make GIS with valid Factory Certification
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Arabic language is required.
