Our Infrastructure Team is growing in UAE, we have an opportunity for a Project Manager with a drive to provide support and technical delivery in our Civil Infrastructure Team.

Ensures junior team members are adhering to delivery standards and ensures essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own industry. Uses discretion within set boundaries (operating procedures, processes, standards) to execute own tasks within a narrower job area to achieve defined deadlines / targets in the most effective and efficient way. Is required to coordinate activities with peers in same discipline to meet deadlines and achieve set targets in the most effective and efficient way.

Applies existing knowledge and experience to solve more routine technical problems independently.

Project Scope

May be called upon to be responsible for smaller or routine projects (as defined in QA100) in the role of Project Manager.

Business Development/Client Contact

Contributes to the development of proposals for moderately complex projects which may at times involve convincing internal stakeholders who have a desire to reach agreement. Develops the business by maintaining client relationships and ensuring client loyalty and repeat work through excellent customer service and delivery. Networks with professionals in local area.

People Management

Allocates tasks, checks the work, and coordinates / supervises the daily activities of a fixed task / single initiative / project-based team, and provides feedback on their performance. May provide informal guidance to graduates or interns (not a job requirement). Is responsible for managing personal contribution only within own team with guidance from supervisor or senior team member.

Communication

Communicates on progress of delegated project assignment (a portion of the overall project) to others in the team who are dependent on their deliverable / contribution to proactively raise issues that may affect completion of the overall project in a timely manner; or communicates progress on specific tasks, and reports on issues that may arise that could cause delays / obstacles in a timely manner. Plus, is proactive in identifying a decrease in workload within own team and informs Supervisor when additional projects are needed to maintain utilization.

Direction Received

Decisions and problem-solving are guided by operating policies, processes and procedures for the Region; receives guidance from Manager – Business Group and Supervisor; or decisions are guided by the project requirements; receives guidance from Supervisor and Project Director or Project Manager. Plus, receives supervision and general review of deliverables.
