Project Controller I

RESPONSIBILITIES

Wood is currently looking for Project controller to join our team in Dubai, UAE

Supply Chain

  • Assist in reporting status of procurement activities.
  • Assist in coordination of supplier qualification process.
  • Assist in coordinating status of materials with freight forwarders
  • Support the creation of daily expediting reports in materials management system.
  • Liaison/Coordination with QA/QC for issuance of IRN and inspections

Project Controls

  • Assist in reporting of planned v’s actual progress figures
  • Support the collection of weekly progress figures from the project team and any 3rd party contractors.
  • Assist with reporting against the project critical path
  • Assist with reporting of project schedule data
  • Assist with weekly and monthly project planning status reports
  • Learns how to review the Project Work Breakdown Structure for specific scopes of work
  • Study and understand all relevant documents pertaining to the preparation of plans and schedule
  • Support the maintenance of project S-Curves and Histograms. Gathers progress updates on activities and deliverables from stakeholders.
  • Perform progress updates of the project Gantt charts
  • Assist with the preparation of proposal schedules and CTR packs
  • Attend schedule risk analysis workshops/ sessions
  • Become familiar with and comply with Project Controls processes and procedures

  • Other project control team members
  • Project Managers and Engineers
  • Project Accountants, Time capture and Billing Specialists
  • Commercial function

External:

  • Client

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires ISCED Level 3 (Upper Secondary) with good level of attainment in math’s
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain management

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word
