Principal Project Planner
Leads the project scheduling team which provides a supporting role to the Projects and Commercial team through the coordination of project-related activities, such as logistics, resourcing, progress updates, project tracking, communication and assisting in the development of project documentation.

Job responsibilities:
- Lead the team of planners to deliver accurate schedules on all key projects.
- Work closely with Commercial Team to ensure Proposal Managers correctly schedule during tender to ensure it is easier to claim for variations orders.
- Work closely with the Project Managers to Develop, Maintain and Manage the Project schedule.
- Responsible for the schedule to ensure completion of Projects to time and cost.
- Monitor and control the Project Performance and schedule in a concise and timely manner as required by the Project Managers through various phases of the project lifecycle.
- Preparing and presenting schedule reviews – providing schedule status updates and ensuring that key messages are communicated and understood at all levels of the business.
- Responsible for ensuring that internal planning processes and work instructions are followed on all assigned projects to allow for consistency and reporting.
- Familiar with commercial and financial aspects of project management
You bring (qualifications & experience)
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 8 – 15 years working experience with 10 + years’ experience in Project scheduling/planning.
- At least 2 years of managerial experience
- Able to accurately define project programmes and schedules with clarity.
- Proficiency with scheduling software with a strong preference on MS Project and Primavera 6
- Requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and database applications.
- Strong communicator and promotes open communication across the organization.
