Platform Owner – Escrow Management

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Platform Owner for escrow management systems is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the escrow platform that enables secure and transparent transactions between buyers and sellers. The platform owner works closely with the business stakeholders, product owners, developers, testers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the customers and the market.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering the product/project within the timeframe and meets customer satisfaction.
  2. Perform appropriate level of stakeholder management across IT and Business & serve as highest project internal escalation level.
  3. Manage the backlog, prioritization, and delivery of features and enhancements for the escrow platform.
  4. Ensure Compliance of project delivery to PMO, QMS, and Risk, Audit and architecture guidelines.
  5. Leading the team to adhere to project and delivery compliance.
  6. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in accordance with defined quality management practices, to achieve common objectives.
  7. Provide guidance and support to the development, testing, and operations teams to ensure quality, performance, and reliability of the escrow platform.
  8. IT Roadmap and Process Improvement.
  9. Identifying value propositions in platform delivery.
  10. Contribute to the yearly IT Roadmap ensuring that project costings and estimates are as accurate as possible.
  11. Work with Business representative to ensure alignment of delivery with Business demand.
  12. Leading the product teams in delivering world class platform solutions.
  13. Strategic Partnerships.
  14. Quality use of Vendor and support teams.
  15. Ensuring value added proposition in strategic vendor partnerships and aligning vendor product / industry roadmap of platforms with the business strategy thus enabling effective business growth.
  16. Drive continuous improvement and innovation for the escrow platform.
  17. Acquire, groom and retain talent pertaining to the platform.
  18. Motivate and lead a team of professionals.
  19. Promoting diverse culture while sourcing talent
  20. Enable National leadership initiatives through grooming the right talent.

Requirements:

  1. General banking and business area knowledge is necessary to steer necessary implementations according to bank strategy.
  2. At least 5-8 years of experience in software development, project management, or product management and leadership role.
  3. At least 3 years of experience in the escrow industry, banking, or related fields.
  4. Strong knowledge of the escrow domain, business processes, and customer needs.
  5. Strong knowledge of agile software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  6. Including capacity planning, vendor management, medium scale development coordination which also comprises management of interfaces and dependencies to other platform teams and in connection with other agile teams.
  7. Additional overview of current testing practices and infrastructure requirements relevant.
  8. Expertise in relevant technology, implementation and use cases as well as deep knowledge of tools used in the bank.
  9. Knowledge of the cloud-based technologies, architectures, and services.
  10. Knowledge of the web development technologies, frameworks, and standards.
  11. Knowledge of the data management, analytics, and reporting tools and techniques.
  12. Knowledge of the security, compliance, and regulatory requirements for the escrow industry.
  13. Knowledge of the user interface design, user experience, and accessibility principles and practices.
  14. Conceptual Thinking, Strategic Orientation, Team Leadership, Analytical Thinking, Innovation, Flexibility, Integrity.
  15. Leadership experience with team size exceeding 10 –15.
  16. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  17. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  18. Excellent customer focus, business acumen, and strategic thinking skills.
  19. Certification in agile, scrum, or product management is a plus.
