Job Description
- Supervise and manage all staff on the night shift, including front desk agents, bell staff, and security personnel.
- Ensure that all team members are trained, motivated, and deliver exceptional service to guests.
- Monitor staff performance, conduct evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Address and resolve any guest complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Provide assistance to guests with requests, including room service, transportation, and other needs.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the hotel during the night, including overseeing front desk procedures, guest services, and any other hotel departments as needed.
- Coordinate room assignments, upgrades, and special requests to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor hotel occupancy and communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure rooms are prepared and meet quality standards.
- Monitor hotel security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other safety equipment.
- Conduct regular security rounds and ensure the safety of both guests and hotel property.
- Respond immediately to any emergencies, including medical, security, or fire-related incidents, following company procedures.
- Maintain emergency preparedness, ensuring that all staff are aware of safety protocols.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hotel operations, guest interactions, and any incidents.
- Prepare detailed reports for the day shift, outlining guest issues, safety concerns, and any operational updates.
- Oversee cash handling, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper financial procedures are followed during the night shift.
- Communicate effectively with the day shift team, ensuring a smooth transition of information and operations.
- Maintain communication with the General Manager and other hotel departments regarding any overnight issues or updates.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hotel front desk or supervisory role.
- Previous experience as a Night Manager in a hotel.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
