MIS Administrator

About This Role

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Excel & Database Management:
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Excel spreadsheets for financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, Power Query) to automate reports and streamline processes.
    • Manage and maintain financial databases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
    • Use Excel-based programming (VBA) and other tools to improve the efficiency of financial reporting processes.
  • MIS Reporting:
    • Design and develop comprehensive MIS reports to provide critical insights into financial performance and other key business metrics.
    • Collaborate with various departments to gather and consolidate data for regular and ad-hoc financial reports.
    • Ensure timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support decision-making by senior management.
  • Dashboard Creation and Data Visualization:
    • Build dynamic and interactive dashboards using Power BI to present financial data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends to stakeholders.
    • Continuously improve dashboard designs for better data representation and ease of use for non-technical users.
    • Support the finance team with real-time data analytics to drive operational efficiency and financial insights.
  • Finalization of Accounts:
    • Assist in the finalization of financial statements, ensuring all data is accurate and complete.
    • Reconcile accounts, analyze variances, and provide detailed reports on financial status.
    • Support audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports as required.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ExcelPower BI, and other relevant technologies.
    • Provide training and support to team members on new reporting tools, techniques, and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in FinanceAccountingInformation Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience in MIS reportingfinancial analysis, or a similar role within a finance department.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, macros, and VBA programming).
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI dashboard creation and data visualization.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and experience in the finalization of accounts.
  • Proficiency in database managementdata integration, and handling large datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and their integration with MIS systems.
  • Experience in using other data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is a plus.
