Job Description

Organization Unit Purpose    

Transaction Banking Services (TBS) provides a diverse range of products and services to customers of Corporate and Institutional Banking. The customers in these market segments are demanding and expect a significant level of expertise from the business.

The TBS Product Unit has been setup to strategically drive Cash and Trade business to achieve bank’s goals while delivering on customers’ requirements. The unit will drive global Cash and Trade strategy for the Emirates NBD Group.  The main responsibilities of the unit would be portfolio analysis for all products under the Transaction banking vertical. Drive cross sell of TBS products to C&IB customers through C&IB RM teams. Knowledge/ Domain expertise will be with the team members. The unit will own identifying and mitigating risks in new and existing products. Develop and run product programmes which are aligned with the Emirates NBD strategy.  Design products and services in line with the customers’ needs and market developments. Identify product gaps for further development on existing and new products. Drive product profitability and usage across C&IB customers. Own the pricing policy and discounts/ waiver policy for Transaction banking products. Own and direct the entire C&IB channels strategy for Emirates NBD and its branches. The unit members will also take ownership of marketing material, collateral, industry events & awards

Job Purpose     

The job holder will be working on the Trade and Supply Chain Product Rollouts in accordance with the Group Standards and at identified ENBD International locations. The broad area of work will be around as follows:

  • The Job holder will coordinate with TBS Sales & Trade Product team at international locations to help timely roll out of the product Policy in specific locations which is aligned with Group Product and Process standard and will be customized to meet location specific regulation and Business practices.
  • The job holder will work closely with Intl Product-lead to assist in implementing new policies discussion, market intelligence data gathering, reports & MIS preparations & tracking of key numbers within overall Trade domain to continuously expand and improve the product offerings.
  • Assist in defining the key pieces of product launch framework namely: Product papers, Process flow documents (PFDs), BRDs, and its approval through NPPA process.
  • Closely work with Product development teams for digital offerings and straight through processing capability of assigned products. This would involve working in close collaboration with internal stakeholders like IT security, Compliance, Finance & OR teams & external parties like vendors and Fintech partners.
  • Work on any specific assignments for any other trade product management/development related activities.
  • Continuous benchmarking of the Emirates NBD Trade offering with industry best standards.

Job Content

1. New Products

  • To work with respective INTL & GHO stakeholders to conduct baseline industry competitive and product research and develop clear business cases for new methods and new product, channels and enhancements.
  • Undertake marketing activities for new product launches and enhancements

2. Product programmes

  • To work with respective INTL & HO stakeholders to develop business requirements to build systems and procedures to support product development and ongoing product enhancements.
  • Oversee internal and external product development activities.

3. Marketing

  • Analyze competitive situations suggest recommendations.

4. Risk Mitigation

  • Provide training session on new product development and enhancements for internal stakeholders.

Education     

Bachelor’s Degree along with postgraduation

Experiences  

10+ years of banking industry experience with Trade experience for the last 7 years. Should have a good understanding of Trade business.

Knowledge & Skills  

  • Good in data analytics and presentation skill
  • Good understanding of trade and supply chain process
  • Technical competence/ experience on digital trade
