Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
- To be responsible to guide a team of maintenance personnel, including engineers and technician in a day to day maintenance of various engineering appliances used in the hospital and high rise building of effective usage.
Responsibilities
- To be responsible for taking decision on project work being carried out inside the hospital premises.
- Responsible for upgrading and modernization of utility equipment in various areas
- Dealing with government organization and other establishments in relation with maintenance department
- Responsible for planning, costing and execution of various projects inside the hospital premises.
- Taking policy decision in co-ordination with the management.
- To be responsible to look after the welfare of the staff in the department.
- Fixing of contractors for specific jobs with the help of system-in-charge.
- Long-term planning in taking up renovation/modifications.
- Responsible to prepare and project budget for maintenance activities.
- To contribute to Quality initiatives
- To train the staff for effective application and up gradation of modern technology.
- Responsible to assist manager in all areas of the activities
- Setting up the engineering team and dept.
- Maintain a master list of equipments & identifying each one suitably by a code.
- support equipments has to be physically checked in the morning shift & checklist must be updated & documented
- Measures to implement efficient maintenance practices in the hospital, which includes building, electrical, mechanical, lifts, HVAC, plumbing.
- Implementation of preventive maintenance schedules for equipments and to be updated for ready reference .
- Breakdown maintenance management to minimize the down time of equipments.
- Measures to minimize the operational cost of overall maintenance by energy conservation, inventory management etc.
- Motivate and guide the technical team to adopt best practices in facility management
- Responsible for smooth functioning of the dept.
- Identify the machines / equipments requires AMC/CMC. Ensure AMC /CMC provider has done his job satisfactorily & effectively each time as per specified schedule. To keep the record of service & breakdown reports for review & action.
- Repair jobs are also assigned to specialized agency when found necessary
- Planning, implementing department budget.
- To take a better care of company assets and its efficiency.
- Assists in the planning & implementation of additions, modifications, renovations in the existing infrastructure.
- Maintenance in charge receives the intimation through the request for maintenance action (Maintenance Request form ) & will be attended & documented.
- To set up specific targets in the department.
- To manage the respective section in day to day activities.
- To assign work for technicians.
- To analyze the complaints and take necessary actions
- To take care of welfare of the staff.
Qualifications
- B.E / Graduate Engineer
- 5 to 10 years experience in the relevant field.
- With management skills, interpersonal skills, time management, knowledge of equipment and maintenance, analytical skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Arabic language is advantageous but not essential.
