About the Role
The L&D Manager is responsible for the delivery of innovative and impactful training programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals. This role involves supporting in creating engaging content for eLearning (in LMS) and in-person training, with a strong focus on supporting performance management outcomes (and developing average and high performers). Additionally, the role will manage the GMG customized training programs and facilitate training sessions acordingly. The incumbent will play a critical role in cultivating a culture of continuous learning, fostering employee development, and improving overall performance across all levels. By leveraging advanced learning technologies and methodologies, the L&D Manager will ensure that training programs are effective, accessible, and aligned with GMG’s global vision for growth and excellence.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitor, evaluate training effectiveness of all training programs offered and make improvements to enhance employee engagement and performance where required.
- Support the Talent Management team by delivering training programs addressing skill gaps identified through Performance Management evaluations.
- Support business-driven training initiatives, customizing training solutions that address specific skill gaps and business priorities and monitor effectiveness of their trainings to ensure aligns with overall organization direction and standards.
- Conduct comprehensive “Train the Trainer” program to equip selected employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively deliver training sessions. This includes creating training materials, conducting workshops, and providing ongoing support to ensure trainers can facilitate engaging and impactful learning experiences across the organization.
- Support the design and facilitate Individual Development Programs that nurture talent and promote employee growth, ensuring alignment with career progression goals.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure training aligns with the skills needed for performance management and overall business goals. - Generate and analyze reports on training metrics, attendance, and engagement, providing actionable insights to enhance training initiatives
Team Management
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Set clear goals and expectations, ensuring alignment with overall training objectives and organizational goals.
- Monitor and assess own training performance, seeking for feedback and support to encourage growth and skill enhancement.
- Lead by example, promoting collaboration, open communication, and a commitment to professional development within the team.
- Support team members in designing and delivering training content, ensuring consistency and high-quality learning experiences
- Extend the L&D initiatives reach by offering Train the Trainer” program where required to equip selected employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively deliver training sessions.
What we need
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications in Learning & Development, HR, or Organizational Development (e.g., CIPD Level 5/7, SHRM) are highly advantageous.
- 8+ years of experience in L&D, with a strong background in training facilitation: implementing training programs, talent management and performance management initiatives.
- Training Design & Delivery: Expertise in delivering engaging training programs tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Skilled in measuring training effectiveness and adapting content based on feedback and performance data.
- Project Management: Competency in planning, executing, and managing multiple training projects simultaneously with a focus on timelines and quality.
- Experience with blended learning approaches and e-learning platforms.
- Reporting & Analysis: Ability to generate comprehensive reports on training metrics, attendance, engagement levels, and training impact, providing insights to support data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical to effectively engage internal stakeholders, subject matter experts to drive successful L&D initiatives.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
