Job Description
The Kids Club Attendant is responsible for providing a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children participating in recreational activities at the hotel. This role involves supervising children, organizing age-appropriate games and activities, and ensuring a positive and memorable experience for both children and their families.
- Supervise children of various ages, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude, fostering an environment where children feel comfortable and excited to participate in activities.
- Enforce rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all children.
- Organize, lead, and participate in a variety of recreational activities and games that are appropriate for different age groups (arts and crafts, sports, team games, storytelling, etc.).
- Adapt activities based on children’s interests, abilities, and energy levels.
- Create themed programs or events that align with seasonal or special occasions.
- Monitor the children’s behavior and health, providing immediate attention to any injuries, issues, or concerns.
- Ensure the Kids Club area is clean, organized, and safe at all times, including toys, equipment, and materials.
- Report any safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Interact with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s activities and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for families, ensuring their satisfaction with the Kids Club services.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for children, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Work closely with other recreation staff and departments to ensure the smooth operation of the Kids Club and related activities.
- Ensure that all activities and equipment are properly documented and maintained.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting is preferred.
- Experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging activities.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain active and energetic throughout the shift.
- Must be able to interact with children for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors.
