Overview of the role
The Head of Commercial Performance at Al Futtaim Automotive is a pivotal role aimed at driving the operational performance of the company across various markets, companies, and dealers. This role involves developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share while ensuring effective resource allocation, business intelligence, and team development.
What you will do
- Lead the development and execution of the commercial performance strategy, focusing on revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align commercial objectives with broader company goals
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, market trends, and potential revenue streams
- Establish and monitor KPIs for commercial teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and consistent improvement
- Implement performance management frameworks to track and enhance productivity and effectiveness across all operational functions (Sales, Used Cars, Aftersales, Parts)
- Understand, analyse and develop data backed growth strategies to improve the financial and operational performance of our brands and dealerships, working hand in hand with our Brand Managing Directors and their teams – positively interrogating performance to drive change
- Pioneer market leading dealer performance reporting and analysis to ensure robust interrogation of performance results across all businesses and provide the right visualisation and reporting to facilitate decision making and early identification of issues/opportunities in performance
- Lead the business requirements and direction for master data and system related data topics, ensuring IT and data teams build a world class data capability that delivers for the business
- Rationalise the reporting landscape across Al Futtaim Automotive to ensure that there is one established mechanism for measurement and a single source of truth when it comes to our reporting and measurement
- Oversee the objectives and performance measurement cycle, setting the scorecards, key metrics and targets for our Brand Managing Directors and their teams; ensuring that robust reporting and tracking is also put in place to guide, educate and drive the right behaviours
- Oversee the use of data analytics to generate insights into customer behavior, market trends, and product performance
Required skills to be successful
- A business or technical university degree is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading high-performing data teams, preferably in an operations context
- Past experience working with and leading data science and analytics teams
- Proficiency in analytics platforms such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Qlik

You will be working closely with the New Business/Ventures, Strategy, and Operations functions, bringing everyone together under a common performance framework that drives profitability. The team is committed to leveraging data insights to optimize sales and marketing efforts and ensuring a clear direction on performance data and the role reports to the General Manager – Commercial Performance & Lifecycle.
