Overview of the role

To secure that the IKEA store has the highest possible service level to customers and optimise the stock levels at lowest possible cost, by making sure that all working methods described in IKEA Logistics manuals are implemented and that the IKEA store achieve a high efficiency in goods movement.

What you will do

Operational

• Ensuring all goods inflow are carried out as per company policy, systems and procedures
• Assisting in the unloading and checking of goods if it is counted accurately
• Checking the goods for damages and highlighting them to the person in charge
• Moving the goods to the correct location to be ready for stocking, customer c Ensuring all goods that are not of sound quality are taken care of as per the company systems and procedures
• Ensuring all items are correctly handled and stocked so as to maintain items in good condition for collection/reservation

Commercial

• To assists in the stocking/merchandising of incoming truck shipment to the sales floor and remaining stocks back to buffer

Customers

• Making sure that all empty boxes are removed and the area is ready for customers before store opening

Financial

• Need to be reduce the internal handling damages to control the damage cost to achieve the store profit targets

Required skills to be successful

• This is very physical job and requires that you can lift heavy loads on a daily and weekly basis so a strong physique is required
• Good written and verbal English

What equips you for the role

• 1-2 years retail experience, goods-flow/supply knowledge preferred
