Digital Business service is the foundation of HSBC. We provide essential support for the bank through operations, technology, key central business services, and our worldwide network of chief operating officers. Our remit includes running customer operations, delivering innovative digital solutions for customers and colleagues, managing bank-wide change, and central services such as procurement and real estate management. Principal responsibilities:

  • Data Executive Committee (DEC) and Data Engagement Forum Preparation – Support the preparation of the regional and country agenda pack. Work with Head of Data / Data Lead from countries and Global Business / Functions, Risk Stewards, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Chief Control Office and Technology team to consolidate their input.
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders across functions, levels, and geographies to appropriately and accurately message content of reports and presentations.
  • Engage with relevant senior leaders to prepare Board & Regulatory appropriate papers and material. To lead the preparation of material directly where required.
  • Support and coordinate delivery of DEC actions. Meeting preparation, governance, support and follow up (actions and activities) as required.
  • Prepare and coordinate any regional / country DAO communications as required.
  • Keep track of Data related Audit and Helios issues, action plans
  • Support (and lead where appropriate), the preparation and signoff of Board & Regulatory papers and material.
  • Work with the Head of DAO HBEU and Head of DAO MENAT and relevant Exco members to prepare appropriate papers and material.
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders across functions, levels, and geographies to appropriately and accurately message content of reports and presentations
  • Engage with relevant Exco members and senior leaders to prepare Board & Regulatory appropriate papers and material. To lead the preparation of material directly where required. Support the engagement with regional Chief Operating Officers (COOs), CROs and Chief Controls Officers (CCO) to ensure that appropriate approvals and signoff of material is in place.
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication and proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and written presentation skills with ability to work under pressure with high accuracy and focus.
  • Extensive experience in the development of executive reports and presentations, comfortable carrying out detailed analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to identify and present key themes and trends.
  • Experience of writing Board level reports in a clear and coherent manner. Ability to work with senior leaders to shape content and message.
  • Creative and strategic problem solver, comfortable with a high level of ambiguity and prepared to relentlessly drive through extensive change to an aggressive timeline.
  • Self-driven, pro-active and energetic with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrates flexibility when addressing shifting or competing priorities.
  • Good understanding of DAO structures, processes, and objectives across the Group.
  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory to secure a UAE work permit.
