Established in 2004, Al Ain University (AAU) opened the doors to its first student cohort in 2005. Constantly innovating, AAU expanded its facilities by opening a second campus in Abu Dhabi in 2008, offering programs in Business and Law. Having begun with three colleges (Engineering, Business, Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences), the University has continued to expand its program offerings which now include 22 undergraduate programs across six colleges (Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Business and Communication and Media), 8 Master’s programs, and 1 Professional Diploma in Teaching program.

Position: Continuing Education Center Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversees the daily activities of the team and setting short-term targets and long-term goals, internally within the University and with corporate sector.
  • Evaluate existing training programs and suggest modifications to improve participation and learning outcome to meet changing needs of evolving market standards
  • Manage the technical facilities and personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training sessions at par with best market practices.
  • Knowledge/experience of training registration and making corporate contracts.
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
  • Emphasizing on Business Development Activities for the center (getting new clients and maintaining the old ones) and generating referrals.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
  • Collaborates with corporate sector and third-party training providers to arrange their employee registration for and participation in training programs.
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers.
  • Prepare and implements effectively to manage the training budget.
  • Assess employees’ skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of improvement and to maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
  • Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

General Conditions:

  • 5+ years of proven interactive Experience
  • ACTVET Knowledge for operational needs, Licensing Process and its certification.
  • Proficient user of MS Office Suit.
  • Excellent interpersonal & verbal communication.
  • Own a car with a valid driving license.
