Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Manager to join our PMC team.

In this role, the construction Manager is expected to manage all on-site field construction activities associated with the completion of a medium to large size projects. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of various construction disciplines, as well as the methods and techniques to be utilized for construction. Incumbent must become thoroughly familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected. In addition to familiarity with construction supervision field administration, procurement, and field engineering. Also familiar with local authorities’ requirements. Willingness to relocate to construction site.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leads planning and delivery for construction management of the program and ensures operational consistency across the program.
  • Manage and monitor all consultants & contractors associated with the program.
  • Implement agreed strategies, through delivery of PMP’s and other key documents and approaches in accordance with program requirements and accepted best practice.
  • Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the delivery teams.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Leads on unusually complex construction management challenges and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with functional leads.
  • Facilitates forming partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations impacted by the program.
  • Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.
  • Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required.
  • Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takes corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15+ years of experience in field construction is required.
  • Experience in managing construction of medium to large civil/structural and/or industrial projects.
  • Safety Qualification / Awareness Training.
  • Very strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
