International Banking is Commercial Banking’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking (CMB) customers within the Large Corporate and Mid- Market Enterprise segments. The International Banking strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. This business is a significant contributor of revenue to CMB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 60 countries.

We are currently seeking a high calibre UAE national to join our team as a Business Support Manager based in Dubai.

In this role, you will:

• Provide full administrative and secretarial support to their Manager
• Reply to and formulate correspondence on behalf of their Manager
• Use Lotus Notes/Office packages to produce and type documents
• Manage Routine letters prepared without manager’s approval, more complex correspondence prepared for approval by manager
• Diary management – meetings organised and diary invites managed
• Get involved in Meeting papers, agenda items and MI collated for meetings
• Maintain department inventories and records
• Be involved in management and control of projects on behalf of their Manager
• Be in regular liaison with their Manager’s direct reports to ensure that projects are on track and that deadlines are met
• Co-ordinate travel and accommodation requirements
• Organise and plan conferences/off-site events including preparation and collation of presentation material
• Often be the first point of contact for the department
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Relevant experience working in an administrative role supporting a manager or team
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with experience of working under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent keyboard, shorthand and audio skills
• Proficiency in MS Office with a flair for preparing presentations
• The ability to quickly understand the team’s requirements and concerns and deliver a quality result to them
• Delivery-focused with attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality
• Proven ability of using their initiative – Result and Quality Driven
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
