Business Development Officer

For our growing office in Dubai we are looking for a Business Development Officer who has a keen interest in accepting the challenge of contributing to the growth of our presence in the Middle East. As the nature of our small set up requires flexibility, creativity and enthusiasm we are looking for an all-rounder with a keen interest in business development, who has the ambition to be part at the forefront of the exciting expansion of UNStudio.

The Business Development Officer is co-responsible for the expansion of UNStudio’s business network in the UAE, in co-charge of researching business opportunities and responsible for the planning and preparation of tender documents, RFP’s, and business proposals.

To make it a success you have excellent social and communication skills, an entrepreneurial mind-set, and a networker by nature. You are familiar with today’s architecture and urban planning related business development processes.

You report directly to the company’s Managing Director MEA, initiate and support all Business Development related activities. You will work closely with the Business Development team in Amsterdam.

The position is based in Dubai, but occasional travel to Amsterdam and in the region is required. You will collaborate closely with the relevant Amsterdam based teams in Amsterdam.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Proactively anticipating possibilities to expand UNStudio’s network in the Middle East. Collaborate with the Managing Director on the firm’s Business Development efforts and support the strategic efforts of the Managing Director and the Business Development team based in Amsterdam.
• Researching the local market and identify opportunities to secure projects.
• Maintain updating and reporting the Business Development Pipeline of UNStudio Middle East.
• Support the Managing Director UAE with achieving business development goals.
• Prepare bids/proposals in response to RFP’s and client requests. Production of content, graphics within branding framework.
• Updating and contributing to the companies CRM database.
• Support and coordinate with UNStudio’s BD and PR teams in Amsterdam initiatives to increase UNStudio’s exposure in predominantly the Middle East (including events and social media).

  Part of the tasks are dedicated to the day-to-day business of UNStudio Middle East, which means in addition to the BD tasks the role requires carrying out administrative tasks, to support the Managing Director MEA.
