Job Description

  • Assist the Finance Manager in managing day-to-day financial operations of the company.
  • Close the books of account on monthly basis, meeting the deadline, after thorough Ledger scrutiny.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.
  • Manage the company’s budgets, including preparing and monitoring budgets for different departments and projects.
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to forecast financial performance and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to the management team to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Support the Finance Manager in managing the company’s relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements for external reporting purposes, such as tax filings and audits.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
  • Manage the company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Ensure maintaining accurate Asset records.
  • Assist in assessment of the long-term financial trends and review prospects for future growth of income and new sales areas.
  • Train and appraise individual team members to ensure Goals are met.
  • Liaise with external/internal auditors to provide the required information time to time.

Desired Candidate Profile

A Master or PG qualification in Accounting/Finance/Commerce and membership with a Recognized Professional Accounting Institute would be preferred, with at least 7 years of work experience in a similar role. Previous Container Terminal, Ports or Logistics industry experience will be advantageous.
