JOB SUMMARY

Day to day processing of Transaction Monitoring (TM), Transaction Screening (TS) and Name Screening (NS) cases in line with AAA procedures and in a timely manner within agreed TAT’s whilst maintaining Quality Control/Quality Assurance results in line with Group and local expectations.
Reporting Internal SAR’s for cases escalated through FCSO screening or transaction monitoring processes to Country FCC / CMLCO.
Support relevant stakeholders to make decisions based on current and possible future policies, practices, and trends.
Support Country Head FCSO/Regional Head FCSO with any complex investigations as required.
Ensure timely initiation of any follow up actions to effectively process cases in TM, TS and NS with clear narratives.
Assist the Country Head FCSO to implement investigation and surveillance standards set by regulators and the Group FCC function (via processes defined by Group FCSO GPO’s), and Country FCC.
Ensure names are added to the watch lists on a timely basis.
Share high profile cases with Regional Cluster Head of FCSO to develop typologies and other materials to improve controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

Purpose of this role is to operate and run the FCC UAE Production Orders function – e.g., receipt, classification, logging, central operation search, escalation, and response.
Business

Support the implementation of the FCSO strategy by escalating appropriate FCC and AML surveillance issues and executing activities in line with guidance documents, Group requirements and regulatory expectations.
Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products across all segments (i.e. retail, commercial, private, correspondent banking and trade) and the ability to execute end-to-end investigations across all segments.
Support relevant stakeholders to make decisions based on current and possible future policies, practices, and trends.
Keep track of and provide advice to relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of regulatory expectations, laws, best practices and policies related to FCC.
Processes

Day to day processing of List Management (LM), Production Orders (RO), Transaction Monitoring (TM), Transaction Screening (TS) and Name Screening (NS) cases in line with AAA procedures and in a timely manner within agreed TAT’s whilst maintaining Quality Control/Quality Assurance results in line with Group and local expectations.

Risk Management

Understand technical aspects of systems relevant to Case Management.
Apply Group and FCC policies and processes (AML surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks.
Inform senior management and relevant regulators of serious regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
Identify intelligence for typology studies and risk mitigation plans.
Map risks, quantify the potential impact and escalate where necessary.
Provide intelligence (to internal forums) on specific clients, client-types and emerging risk typologies
Governance

Collateanalyse and provide data to senior management and relevant governance/risk committees.
Design and maintain dashboards and metrics that allow FCC to dynamically monitor financial crime risk and operational performance for key FCC processes.
Analyse and interpret data to produce reports that help the bank identify and manage emerging areas of risk / vulnerability and thus drive remediation action within the FCC function.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Lead the FCC UAE Law Enforcement team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Operation of Financial Markets; Financial Crime Prevention; The Right Environment.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Comply with all regulations promulgated by UAE Central Bank DFSA and ADGM
