Job Description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To support the effective management of the airline’s network operations by monitoring flight schedules, flight plans, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and on-time performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and executes the dispatch of company flights in accordance with safety and legal guidelines, which involves tasks such as estimating Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW), assessing Minimum Equipment List/Configuration Deviation List (MEL/CDL), and considering operational factors prior to computing Operational Flight Plans (OFP).
  • Maintains and monitors all telecommunications, including company Very High Frequency (VHF) radio, facilitating exchange between cockpit crew and Maintenance Control for technical problems developing enroute.
  • Monitors all flight movements and provides outstations with necessary information regarding airplane arrival, departure times, delays, etc.
  • Facilitates communication link between Network Control Center (NCC), flydubai airplanes, and all related departments.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of flydubai procedures to ensure proper conduct of Operations Control and Flight Dispatch.
  • Assists in the effective management of the airline’s network operations by monitoring flight schedules, plans, and supporting senior officers in the duties and activities performed.
  • Manages the storage and shredding of post-flight paperwork.
  • Assists with any ad-hoc duties assigned to support the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
  • Previous work in airline operations is desirable.
  • 3 – 5 years
  • Current GCAA/FAA Flight Dispatch License or meet the requirements of GCAA CAR PART II

ISR REQUIREMENTS

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
