Amazon is looking for a Financial Analyst to partner with senior stakeholders in the MENA-TR 3P business.
As a finance leader you will be expected to push a high control environment, drive innovation in both the business and finance processes as well as provide a long-term vision for a creating successful businesses that deliver a strong financial performance, whilst not compromising on customer experience and trust.
In this role, you will be expected to drive relationships with Category Leaders, Heads of Seller Services (HoSSs) and Program owners. You will take the finance lead for all initiatives, planning processes and metrics for periodic reviews, keeping customer experience front of mind you will drive cost out initiatives, touching all aspects of the value chain. You will help the business to deliver ambitious growth targets, benchmark performance with other marketplaces and establish plans and forecasts.
You will continuously audit business inputs and processes to ensure that strong financial controls remain fit for purpose, you will be required to dive deep into every aspect of the business, to drive improvement, and use data and strong business judgment to drive the right long-term decisions.
You will lead the effort to develop tools that deliver insightful analysis and reporting to support decision-making and monitor performance. You will be skilled in extracting insights from large volumes of data, and effectively communicate with your business partners in how to act on theses insights. You will be working closely with senior leadership in the region and expected to interact with Finance teams across other Emerging Stores and other finance functions (example Accounting, and FP&A).
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver with a history of strong leadership skills in managing stakeholders and driving results. This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.
Key job responsibilities
The candidate shall act as a finance business partner for the country and across a variety of new programs and processes.
– Lead planning and performance reviews for the country and various programs you are responsible for.
– Create and build models to manage and deliver the plan for growth and profitability. Hold teams accountable for their designed KPIs .
– Deliver meaningful insight and practical recommendations, in addition to sound financial data analysis, to inform and influence business decisions.
– Deliver accurate financial information and key financial reporting to senior management including spends, ROIs, performance by channels and category.
– Represent Finance in MBRs, QBRs with narrative on performance.
– Evaluation of Initiatives: Analyze various ‘initiatives’ agreed with Category, Country, and program teams. Identify and document learnings, and share with the teams for better planning.
– Work on attribution models to allocate spends by Channel and Product line.
– Build processes, tools, dashboard to support the business and improve decision making
– Understand the inherent limitations of data and exercise judgment to make trade-offs between timeliness and accuracy of analysis and how to best synthesize findings.
– Work with product managers to influence new program requirements and business decisions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of finance experience
– 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
– Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
– Experience using data to influence business decisions
– Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
– Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
