About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Contracts Manager who will oversee the contractual aspects of projects within the PPP framework. This role involves ensuring that all contractual obligations are met, risks are mitigated, and stakeholders’ interests are safeguarded throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
•Manage all aspects of PPP contracts, including drafting, negotiation, and administration to ensure compliance with legal requirements and project objectives.
•Identify and assess risks associated with PPP contracts, developing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
•Liaise with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, legal teams, and financial institutions, to facilitate smooth contract execution and resolve disputes.
•Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
•Oversee financial aspects of PPP contracts, including budget monitoring, cost control, and payment processing to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
•Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards, preparing regular progress reports and updates for stakeholders.
•Manage contract disputes and claims, employing negotiation and mediation techniques to achieve amicable resolutions and minimize project disruptions.
•Evaluate and recommend contract amendments or variations in response to changing project needs or unforeseen circumstances.
•Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and legal developments related to PPP contracts, sharing insights and knowledge with project teams.
•Facilitate the orderly closeout of PPP contracts, ensuring all deliverables are met, and final settlements are negotiated and executed.
Here’s what you’ll need:
About You:
•Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
•Proven experience in social infrastructure and contract management, preferably within the PPP or infrastructure sector.
•Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing PPP projects.
•Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to analyze complex contractual documents and identify potential risks and opportunities.
•Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
•Certification in contract management or project management (e.g., CPCM, PMP) is a plus.
