The BUM Oncology role is an opportunity to contribute to the Gulf’s ambitious growth and innovation agenda. The Gulf organization is currently at double digit growth on track for 5 launches in the next 2 years, 4 of which are in Oncology; Zejula, Jemperli, Ommjoro and Blenrep. In GSK the Gulf organization comprises 5 markets; UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.

As an Oncology BUM, you will be responsible for developing and executing a successful launch of new Oncology business in the Gulf, leading the Sales team to achieve exceptional results with a deep understanding of customer insights and the market. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing a best-in-class marketing strategy to improve the brand’s competitive position. The key focus of this role is to achieve GSK leadership in the Oncology market in the Gulf.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

Demonstrate strategic planning and tactical execution capability

  • Lead, design, and facilitate brand strategy/brand planning process for the Oncology products.
  • Develop sales forecast based on Critical Success Factors and Brand Objectives. Utilize specific, relevant metrics to measure brand performance against both the sales results, as well as non-financial KPIs such as brand preference and customer perception and patient access.
  • Plan, administer, and manage commercial budget and resource allocation based on priority and necessary trade-off for overall performance of the brand.
  • Execute, evaluate, and adjust rolling tactical marketing plans including both traditional and e-marketing activities.
  • Analyse customer insights, healthcare environment, market trend, brand equity, pricing, reimbursement, and clinical profile of the products and relative competition to be used for strategic development and dissemination for commercial execution.

Strong alliance and networking capability

  • Manage customer relationships with Key External Experts (KEE), top national influencers/prescribers, as well as payers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Exhibit cross-functional teamwork to ensure alignment with key stakeholders in Gulf brand team (SAMs, Medical, Access, and Regulatory).
  • Demonstrate good collaboration between area/region/Global team.

Company business policy & compliance

  • Fully understand industry and company policy & code of conduct.
  • Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with regulatory environment with the goal of maximizing product opportunity.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Higher education is an advantage)
  • Minimum 7 years of previous Oncology launch and commercial experience is required in the Gulf.
  • Region (UAE, KWT is priority), Women cancer experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to travel as required by role (up to 50% of the time).

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Supervisory or management experience, including previous sales experience required
  • Combines marketing and sales experience required
  • Haematology experience is an advantage to have but not mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of the oncology and haematology scientific background and clinical practice
  • Proven leadership and entrepreneurial skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales & marketing position.
  • Strong closing skills, coaching to team members
  • Proven oral, written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
